Award-Winning Bathroom Design

From Concept to Completion — Our Full Process, Shown Through “The Brewery” Project

1. Initial consultation

Every great bathroom starts with a conversation. Whether in our Mossley showroom, over email, or by phone, we begin by understanding your vision — from aesthetic goals and lifestyle needs to budget expectations.

It’s a relaxed, no-pressure chat — and the beginning of something exciting.

In this case:
The clients visited our showroom to share their vision — an industrial-inspired bathroom that would honour the building’s heritage while feeling bold and contemporary.

2.A Visit to Your Home

To quote and plan accurately, we’ll visit your home to assess the space in person. This lets us understand the existing layout, structure, plumbing, electrics, and more — all crucial details for seamless delivery.

It also gives us the chance to explore layout improvements and spatial flow with fresh eyes.

In this case:
The room was spacious, but the existing layout didn’t suit a bathroom’s flow. Originally a bedroom, the space required thoughtful reconfiguration to unlock its full potential.

3. Creative Direction & Early Concepts

No two projects are ever the same. Some clients bring a clear wishlist — others ask us to take the lead. Either way, we design bathrooms that reflect your personality, home, and lifestyle.

For The Brewery, the brief was bold and industrial: exposed copper pipes, reclaimed brickwork, and rich solid wood tones. A perfect match for the building’s character — and the client’s creativity.

In this case:
We introduced graphite sanitaryware from NIC Design — a sleek, textural contrast to the warm brickwork and wood accents.

4. Bespoke Design & Presentation

Once inspired, we begin turning ideas into reality. From material palettes to spatial planning, we develop every detail around you.

We’ll collaborate with you, your architect, or interior designer to refine the concept until it’s exactly right — balancing beauty, practicality, and longevity.

Whether you’re designing a luxury en-suite or a feature steam room, we aim to make the journey enjoyable, inspiring, and deeply personal.

In this case:
We completely reworked the layout. The original chimney breast was removed to make space for a freestanding bath — Industriale Boat by BC Designs. We also installed a new window in the shower to flood the space with natural light.

Brassware was supplied by Graff in their striking Olive Bronze finish. The collection, Vintage, was inspired by the Chicago Fire Department’s original logo — a nod to Graff’s origins. As a personal touch, we included bespoke Fire Red handles as a tribute to fire service design heritage, and to also match the old-school ball valves.

5. Seamless Installation & Project Management

At Alfa Tiles UK, we manage every element of the process in-house — from concept to completion.

Our expert installers treat each project like a work of art, with craftsmanship and care in every tile, tap, and trim. We’re on-site, on-call, and committed to delivering excellence — always.

In this case:
Peter and Adrian led the renovation over six weeks — managing every detail with care. Bespoke Iroko wood accents, including open shelving and bookstands, were hand-assembled on-site.

All exposed piping — both wall-mounted and ceiling-fed — was individually cut, threaded, and painted by our in-house installation team, bringing the industrial design to life with authentic craftsmanship.

“From the first visit to their showroom we knew that Alfa had the imagination and ability to fulfil our brief: an industrial wet room/bathroom. They are highly experienced professionals and responded with enthusiasm to our, often, outlandish and bespoke requests. They were infinitely patient with our desire to be involved in every decision and need to know how everything would work. Peter was adamant that the work was done to the highest quality to ensure it would last 20 years or more.”
